Invite others to your presentation

Invite or join others to work on a presentation together and learn how to co-present in real time.

Note: Currently, there are some limitations to working on an mmhmm presentation with others:

• You can only work on one slide together at a time. mmhmm currently does not allow for multiple people to work on different slides simultaneously.
• You can only work on a presentation together when the owner of the presentation is in the call. If the presentation owner leaves the mmhmm call, presentation sharing will stop.
• Only the presentation owner can record a video while sharing a presentation.
• The mmhmm Questions AI feature can't be used while sharing a presentation.

Invite others to your presentation

Note: You must have an mmhmm account to invite others to your presentation. Click here to sign up. 
  1. Open mmhmm and choose a presentation from the presentation library.
  2. Once opened, click Invite in the top right hand corner to create an invite link.

  3. A dialog box will appear where you can copy and share the link with others. This link can be reused as many times as you want and can also be sent in advance. To learn more, read Schedule a conversation.
  4. Anyone with an mmhmm account who has the link to your presentation can join. You will see a notification to either admit or deny entry if they join your link without signing into mmhmm.

    Note: If they are a part of the same mmhmm for Teams subscription, they will be automatically admitted into the call.
  5. Click Share presentation on the left side of mmhmm above the slide tray. Everyone in your session to will be able to see your presentation and slide tray and interact with the slides.

    They can re-arrange slides, add or edit content, or choose a different slide in the slide tray to appear on the mmhmm stage. They will also appear on the mmhmm stage when you connect mmhmm to Zoom, Google Meet, or other video conferencing apps.
  6. To invite more people to to your presentation, click the participants button under the mmhmm stage. Then copy the link and share it with your invitees.

Join someone else's presentation

Note: You must have an mmhmm account to join someone else's presentation. Click here to sign up. 

  1. Navigate to a shared mmhmm link in a compatible web browser. If you have mmhmm installed on your computer, your browser will automatically open the conversation link in mmhmm:

  2. If this is your first time joining, mmhmm will ask you to allow it access to your computer's camera and microphone. Click Allow

  3. Enter your name in the box at the top titled "Ready to join?" and click Send Request to Join. Your request to join will be sent to the host.

Record your presentation with others (co-present)

Note: If a presentation is being shared, only the owner of the presentation can record.

To start recording your presentation, click Record at the bottom of the window. Once you start the recording, all participants in the conversation will receive a notification informing them about the recording. Once you finish recording, you'll be given the chance to edit the video and share the link with others. Learn more about recording a video in mmhmm.

To present with others live on Zoom or Google Meet:

  1. Share the presentation with your co-presenters.
  2. Connect mmhmm to Zoom, Google Meet, or other video conferencing apps.
