Overview

This article will cover how to set up Single Sign-On, also known as SSO, for your mmhmm account.

Single Sign-On (SSO) allows you to seamlessly create and manage your mmhmm account. It keeps your account secure and it allows you to sign in without needing to remember another password.

Enable SSO with Google on an existing account

1. Navigate to the mmhmm account sign-in page and click on “Sign in with Google”.
   
   
   
   
2. On the next page, choose the Google account that you normally use to log into mmhmm. If your account does not appear, click on "Use another account" and enter your account details. 
   
   
   
   
3. You'll now be logged into your mmhmm account and will be configured to use SSO with Google. 

Create a new account using SSO with Google

1. Navigate to the mmhmm account sign-in page and click on “Sign up with Google”.
   
   
   
   
2. On the next page, choose the Google account that you want to use as your mmhmm account.
   
   
   
   
3. Confirm your selection by clicking on “Confirm”.
   
4. Your new account should now be set up to use SSO with Google. 

Enable SSO with Apple on an existing account

1. Navigate to the mmhmm - Create a new account page and click on “Sign in with Apple”.
   
   
   
   
2. On the next page, log in with your Apple ID. If the email address associated with your Apple ID matches the email address associated with your mmhmm account, your accounts will be linked to each other. If they are not the same, a new mmhmm account will be created for you. To learn more, read below. 
   
   
   
   
3. You'll now be logged into your mmhmm account and will be configured to use SSO with Apple.

Create a new account using SSO with Apple

1. Navigate to the mmhmm - Create a new account page and click on “Sign up with Apple”.
   
   
   
   
2. On the next page, log in with your Apple ID.
   
   
   
3. Choose whether or not you want to share your Apple ID with mmhmm. Then click "Continue". Apple will create a private email alias to use with mmhmm if you choose "Hide My Email". Click here to learn more.
   
   
   
4. Your new account should now be set up to use SSO with Apple. 

Hiding your Apple ID

During the account creation process, you will be asked to either "share" or "hide" your Apple ID email address from mmhmm. Hiding your email will prompt Apple to generate a private email alias that will be the username of your mmhmm account. While this won't affect the overall usability of mmhmm, you won't receive invitations to calls on mmhmm for web via email unless you share the private email associated with your mmhmm account with others. 

To find the private email associated with your mmhmm account: 

1. Navigate to the mmhmm account sign-in page and log in with your mmhmm account. 
2. Locate the email address under your account name. This is the private email that Apple generated when you selected "hide my email" during the mmhmm account setup process.
   
   
   
   
3. Share this email address with others. Email invites must be sent to the private email associated with your account in order to ensure you get notified about mmhmm for web call invitations.

Enabling SSO for your mmhmm for Teams organization

Follow the steps below if you have an mmhmm for Teams account and would like to enable SSO for your Teams members. Enabling this will require your team to log into their mmhmm account with their Google account.

1. Navigate to the mmhmm account sign-in page and sign in to your account.
   
   
   
2. Once logged in, select "Authentication" in the menu on the left-hand side of the page.
   
   
   
   
3. Under the "Single sign-on" header, select the "Require all members to use SSO" radio button and select the SSO method you want to use in the dropdown box. Then click "SAVE". This will turn on SSO and prevent your team members from signing in with a traditional password. 
   
   
   
   
4. The next time members of your team are required to sign into mmhmm, they will be prompted to sign in using SSO with their SSO account as shown below. 
   
   

Disabling SSO on an existing account

1. Navigate to the mmhmm account sign-in page and sign in with your mmhmm account. 
2. Select "Manage connected apps" in the menu on the left-hand side of the page.
   
   
   
   
3. Next to your SSO-connected app, click “Disconnect”.
   
   
   
   
   Note: You will be unable to turn off SSO if you have an mmhmm Teams account that is part of a Teams plan that requires SSO.
   
4. You will be signed out of your account and will receive an email asking you to reset your password. Click on "Reset Password" to complete the password reset process. 
   
   
   
   
5. Your account will now be configured to use a username and password. 
   

To access your account in the future, Navigate to the mmhmm account sign-in page, enter your email address and click “Sign In”.
