Known issues in Windows

If you are experiencing any of these issues or any others, please send your logs to help@mmhmm.app with your computer specs and the associated logs with each issues --  here are the types of logs to send:

Activity Log / Core Log

If the application is running and responsive

  1. Open the application
  2. Click on the hamburger menu
  3. Click on “Help > Activity Log” 
  4. Windows Explorer window opens
  5. Share “ActivityLog.log” and "CoreLog.log" files

If the application crashes or can't be opened

  1. Press and hold on “Windows”/“Start” and “R” keyс
  2. The “Run” window opens
  3. Type “%localappdata%\” and press enter
  4. Windows Explorer window opens at directory path similar to this “C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local”
  5. Open “mmhmm” folder
  6. Open “logs” folder
  7. Share “ActivityLog.log” and "CoreLog.log" files

Installation Log

The easiest way to open the directory is to press the start key and type run . In the Run Window type %temp%  and hit OK which will open the Windows explorer at the path that will look like this C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Temp' The log file we are looking for is named like MSI<letter and numbers>.log.

App crashing when adding a Screen Share Slide

When adding a Screen Share slide, the app freezes indefinitely or crashes. 

Solution: TBD, please send Activity Logs to help@mmhmm.app

MSI Installation Error

Solution: TBD, but try to ensure that Windows Installer service is running.

  1. Go to Start and click on Control Panel.
  2. Go to Administrative Tools.
  3. Click on Services and scroll to Windows Installer.
  4. Double click to bring up the service.
  5. Check to see if the startup type is set to Manual.
  6. Service status is usually stopped.
  7. Try and start the Windows Installer service.

Additionally, send Installer Logs and the size of the installer file to help@mmhm.app 

 

Your system does not meet minimum requirements needed to run mmhmm

Some users are experiencing this error even with the appropriate hardware and software necessary to run mmhmm for Windows:

 

Required:

OS: Microsoft Windows 10

Processor: 64-bit Intel-based processor (32-bit and ARM based systems are not supported. This includes Surface Pro X devices).

Preferred:

Dedicated Graphics Card

8GB RAM

100MB of available storage

 

Solution: TBD, send the following information to help@mmhmm.app 

 

Verify that you can:

a) Use your native camera in the Camera application

b) Try and use mmhmm with another camera (if you have one available)

 

Send copies of the core and Activity logs.
