Once you've finished creating your mmhmm presentation and added your speaker notes, you're ready to record your video to share with others.
Record your video
- In mmhmm, open the presentation you want to record.
- Click Record. Your recording will begin after a 3-second countdown.
If you make a mistake during the recording, click. Then, click Discard to delete the recording.
- When you advance to the next slide while recording, a new video chapter will be created automatically.
- When you're done recording, click Stop.
Edit your video
In the video editor, you can review and edit the chapter(s) you've recorded:
- Trim: Trim a chapter to get rid of long silences, filler words, and more. Click Trim, then click and drag the sliders to trim from the front and back of the chapter.
- Add overlay: Add title cards or image overlays to a chapter. These overlays will appear over the original recording. Click Add overlay, then choose how long the overlay displays and whether it fills the entire screen or fits to its original size.
- Split: Split a chapter into more individual chapters. Select a point during the video playback where you want to split the chapter in two, then click Split.
- Merge: Merge two or more chapters together. Press and hold the Shift key and select the chapters, then click Merge.

Delete chapter: Click the
icon to delete a chapter.
- Copy chapter to another video: Click ⋯ and select Copy chapter to video, then select the published video you want to copy the chapter to.
- Add chapter: Upload a video file (MP4, WebM, or MOV) as a new chapter to your video.
Add smart suggestions
In the Suggestions section, mmhmm will use AI to suggest highlights and follow-up questions you can add to improve your video. Learn how to use smart suggestions in your video.
Add video details
In the Details section, you can add a title and description and choose a thumbnail for your video.
Review and publish your video
When you've finished editing your video, click Publish.
Next, you can download the video or share it with others directly on mmhmm.
