Tabs make the editing and presenting of multiple presentations a breeze. Just as having several tabs open in your internet browser makes your web browsing experience more convenient, mmhmm’s tabs give you quick access to the presentations you’re working on at the same time.
Note: Organizing multiple presentations differ slightly in Mac and Windows at this time.
Working with tabs in mmhmm
By default, you start with one untitled tab. To open a new tab, click the + button on the right-hand side of the tab bar. This will start a new presentation, to which you can add slides, create new rooms, and update camera settings. Each new tab opened will remain untitled until it is named.
You can click another open tab at any time to access the contents of that presentation. This is a handy way to seamlessly transition from one presentation to another. For example, a teacher might use tabs to quickly transition between lessons.
Tip: Drag a tab and move it around to reorder it in the tab bar.
When you open a new tab, mmhmm for Mac will automatically save that presentation to your Presentations library. To rename your presentation, start by double-clicking on the desired untitled tab. Type in your title and press the enter key on your keyboard to save it. Any time you open a presentation you’ve previously saved, it will open in a new tab.
Tip: Your presentations are autosaved, so if your computer crashes or runs out of battery, mmhmm will let you pick up where you left off.
To save an untitled tab in Windows, first, click on the ☰ menu button. Then click File > Save As, name the presentation, and choose the location you’d like to save it to. Any time you open a presentation you’ve previously saved, it will open in a new tab.
Note: mmhmm for Windows does not autosave your presentations at this time.
