How do I show my phone or tablet in mmhmm?

This article will show you how to share your iPhone or iPad screen as a slide in mmhmm for Mac and Windows.

On Mac

If you want to share an iOS device

  1. Plug your device into your Mac with a Lightning cable.
  2. If your device asks if you want to trust your computer, choose Trust.
  3. In mmhmm, click on New Slide > This Mac or iOS Device.connect_ios_device.png
  4. Choose your device from the share window.share_screen_window_edited.png

If you want to share a non-Apple device

If you have a different type of device, such as an Android phone or tablet, or if you want to share wirelessly via AirPlay or Chromecast, try using a third-party app like AirServer:

  1. Download and install AirServer onto your computer.
  2. After installation, access the AirServer app on your phone.
    • If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can mirror your screen wirelessly using AirPlay.
    • If you have an Android phone or tablet, use this guide from AirServer to set up your device.
  3. From there, you should see the name of your Mac. Select it.
  4. Add a Screen Share slide.
  5. Choose the AirServer window to share your device screen in mmhmm.

On Windows

Device screen sharing is supported on mmhmm for Windows but it requires extra steps. Your device will not automatically appear in the mmhmm sharing window. You must use a third-party app like AirServer:

  3. From there, connect your device to your PC.
  4. In mmhmm for Windows, add a Screen Share slide.
