Share an iOS device screen
Note: The following steps only work on Mac computers. To share your device screen in mmhmm desktop or web for Windows, read the section below titled, "Share a non-Apple device screen."
- Plug your device into your Mac with a Lightning cable.
- If your device asks if you want to trust your computer, choose Trust.
You may encounter a popup on your device that says, Is this Lightning adapter connecting a pair of headphones? If so, select Other Device.
- Open Quicktime Player on your Mac, and select File > New Movie Recording in the menu bar.
- In the new Quicktime window that appears, click the carat next to the red record button to reveal the recording sources and select your iOS device from the list. Do not minimize this window.
- Next, in mmhmm desktop or web, create a new Share Screen slide. In the new window that appears, scroll down and select the QuickTime Player - Movie Recording window. Then, click Share.
- You should now see your iOS device screen appear as a Screen share slide in mmhmm.
- Plug your device into your Mac with a Lightning cable.
- If your device asks if you want to trust your computer, choose Trust.

- Click New Slide > This Mac or iOS Device.
- Choose your device from the share window. Then, click the Share button.
Share a non-Apple device screen
Note: The following steps involve installing AirServer, a third party app. It requires a subscription, but has a free 30-day trial available.
If you have a different type of device, such as an Android phone or tablet, or if you want to share your iOS device screen to mmhmm on Windows, try using a third-party app like AirServer. Then, follow the steps below.
- Download and install AirServer to your computer.
- Download and install AirServer on your iOS or Android device.
- Access the AirServer app on your phone.
• If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can mirror your screen wirelessly using AirPlay.
• If you have an Android phone or tablet, use this guide from AirServer to set up your device. - You should see the name of your computer. Select it.
- Create a Screen Share slide.
- Choose the AirServer window to share your device screen in mmhmm.
