The mmhmm desktop app is the best way to use mmhmm on Mac or Windows. With the desktop app, you can use mmhmm on video calls with Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, and access features like speaker notes and the best virtual green screen.
Note: mmhmm on Mac requires macOS 13 or later.
- Go to mmhmm.app/download and click Download.
- Open the mmhmm.pkg installer file.
- When the installation is complete, click Close.
- A prompt will appear requesting access to your camera and microphone. Click Allow for both permissions.
- Next to Install the mmhmm camera, click Install.
- A prompt will appear asking you to enable system extensions which are required for mmhmm to work properly. Click Open System Settings.
- macOS Sequoia (15) or later: In the Camera Extensions window, turn on the switch next to mmhmm to enable the mmhmm camera. Then, click Done.
macOS Sonoma (14) or earlier: In the System software from application "mmhmm.app" was blocked from loading prompt, click Allow. - The mmhmm desktop app will open automatically.
- Go to mmhmm.app/download and click Download.
- Open the mmhmm.msi installer file.
- When the installation is complete, click Finish. If the Launch mmhmm checkbox is selected, the mmhmm app will open automatically.
