Use Questions and Suggestions to help you make a video

Use Questions and Suggestions to guide you through the process of creating, organizing, and polishing a video with AI.

Create a video with Questions

When you need help structuring your video without a script, Questions will ask you relevant prompts that let you express your thoughts more naturally.

1. Open the mmhmm app.
2. Select Record a quick video. 
3. In the right panel, you'll see a list of topics Questions can help you make a video about. Select a topic.
   
4. Choose a virtual background.
5. When you're ready to start recording, click Get started.
6. After a 3-second countdown, mmhmm will begin recording and present a question. Answer the first question at your own pace.
   • Click Redo if you want to change your answer to the question.
7. When you’re done, click I'm ready for the next question.
   
   
   
   
8. mmhmm will present you with two new questions related to your previous answer. Click a question to answer it. When you're done, click I'm ready for the next question. Repeat this step for as many questions as you want to answer.
9. When you feel like you've answered enough questions, click Wrap it up.
10. mmhmm will ask if there's anything else you'd like to share related to your video. When you're done, click Conclude interview.
11. mmhmm will name your video, divide it into chapters, add title card overlays, and trim it to remove silence and mistakes. When it's done, click View video to preview your video.
    • If you want to make more changes, you can edit your video or add highlights and follow-up questions to your video.
12. When you're done, click Publish to share it with others.

Add highlights with Suggestions

Highlights are AI-generated summary clips that capture the best moments of your recording and can be added anywhere in your video.

1. In mmhmm, open the video editor.
2. In the left sidebar, go to Suggestions.
3. Click Generate highlights.
4. Click the thumbnail of a highlight to preview it. To add a highlight, click + Add.
   
5. In the left sidebar, go to Editor. The highlights will be added as new chapters to the start of your existing video.

Add follow-up questions with Suggestions

Based on the content in your video, Suggestions can suggest follow-up questions you can answer to improve your video.

1. In mmhmm, open the video editor.
2. In the left sidebar, go to Suggestions.
3. In the Follow up questions section, you'll see a list of follow-up questions. Select the question(s) you want to answer, then click Record answers.
   
   
4. When you're ready to start recording, click Get started.
5. When you're done, click View video. The follow-up questions will be added as new chapters to the end of your existing video.
