Use macOS Sonoma camera effects in mmhmm

macOS Sonoma (14.0) includes a variety of video and audio effects that you can use with mmhmm. These features include reactions, center stage, portrait mode, and studio light.

Note: Turning on video effects may cause your background slides to become blurry during a video call. Read Slides are not visible or appear blurry on Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams for more information.

To use these effects with mmhmm:

  1. Open mmhmm on your computer and make sure your camera is turned on. You should be able to see yourself on the mmhmm stage.
  2. The Video icon will appear in the menu bar letting you know your camera is in use. Click the Video icon to show the camera settings.

Note: macOS Sonoma lets you apply video effects for each video application. To apply these effects to mmhmm, click the mmhmm tab in the Video menu.
