mmhmm desktop known bugs
Mac
- Screen sharing immediately shares the full screen instead of showing a prompt to select a specific window or the full screen.
- The beta app does not honor the system settings for light/dark mode and must be set manually within the app settings.
Windows
- Screen sharing immediately shares the full screen instead of showing a prompt to select a specific window or the full screen.
- Memory usage increases when the mmhmm Desktop window is fully or partially obscured by another window. This is only observable on certain computers, and is exacerbated when running on battery power.
Beta FAQ
I have previously created presentations using the old mmhmm Windows app. Can I use them with the new mmhmm desktop for Windows?
- Not yet. We will be releasing a helper app soon to let you upload any previously-created mmhmm presentations into the cloud, where they will be accessible not just by the mmhmm desktop for Windows app, but also mmhmm for Web and mmhmm Studio.
I’ve added people via my mmhmm desktop but they can’t hear the people from my Zoom or Meet call, and vice versa!
- If you call other people with an mmhmm link from mmhmm desktop, your invitees will join you on the mmhmm desktop stage. When you join a Zoom call with the virtual camera, your mmhmm stage (including all your invitees) will show up on Zoom, but the audio won’t be shared between Zoom and mmhmm. To solve this issue, make sure your mmhmm call attendees also join the Zoom meeting.
