You can use mmhmm with video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, FaceTime, and more to take your presentations to the next level.
Connect mmhmm to other video conferencing tools
- Open mmhmm on your device.
- Open Zoom and start or join a meeting.
- In the bottom toolbar, check that your video is turned on (it should show Stop Video). If your video is off, click Start Video.
- Next to Stop Video, click the up arrow ^ and select mmhmm Camera.
- Open mmhmm on your device.
- Open Google Meet and start or join a call.
- In the call setup screen, click the video setting and select mmhmm Camera.
- When you're done, click Join now.
- Open mmhmm on your device.
- Open Microsoft Teams and start or join a meeting.
- In the call setup screen, check that your video is turned on (the video switch should be toggled on). If your video is off, click to toggle the switch on.
- Click the Settings icon
- In the Device settings sidebar, click the Camera dropdown menu and select mmhmm Camera.
- When you're done, click Join now.
You can use mmhmm with Apple's built-in apps: Safari, Photo Booth, and FaceTime. In the Apple menu bar, go to Video and select mmhmm Camera from the list of available cameras.
You must have mmhmm open and running in the background in order for it to work properly. If you don't have mmhmm running in the background, you will see this on your screen:
Once you've connected the mmhmm camera to your video conferencing tool, you can present to your audience by clicking through your slides in mmhmm. If you use a video conferencing platform not listed in the Mac and Windows tabs, you can share the mmhmm window if the tool has a share screen function. If your video conferencing tool accepts apps that stream video, there's a good chance mmhmm will be compatible.
